What are we doing?

The department Infotainment, within Connected Experience product stream, is responsible for the development and enabling of Volvo Cars new Infotainment system powered by Android. Volvo Cars was the first company to team up with Google and develop a system together, which re-thinks the nature of car infotainment, defined by a user-friendly interface and an unparalleled connectivity. What’s in it for you?

You will join an organization working at the forefront of infotainment with a solution based on Android running in our cars, a pioneering product developed in close collaboration with Google. In the role as Product Owner, you will describe your area’s short and long-term goals and visions based on business value and product needs with support from tech leads and the product manager. You will work closely with your team as well as cooperate with other POs, the design department, other departments and partners.

What will you do

You will be a member of the agile Park Assist Functions team, who owns the camera and sensor app functionality like a rearview camera and 360 view. You will articulate and emphasize the short- and long-term goals and timelines of the product to your team and relevant stakeholders for your product area. You will be a member of the extended Product Management team within Infotainment, reviewing and contributing to the program-level vision, roadmap, and content presentations.

The role includes preparing necessary conditions for creating features, stories, and acceptance criteria, being a part of your team’s backlog refinement, as well as validating deliveries and involve in release planning. You will coordinate content dependencies with other Product Owners, be available for the team’s questions and support in escalations.

You are experienced in driving software product development as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or equivalent role. You’re technical oriented with an eye for the details and also able to switch to a bird’s eye perspective connecting all the dots. You truly believe in and promote agile development methodologies. You believe in building relationships with teams and stakeholders, inspiring and motivating others working towards a goal. You are curious, user-focused, and thrive for innovation and improvement, bringing greater value to the business. You share our passion for people and wish to create a superior driving experience! You are excellent in communication and speak fluent English.
