The Content Optimization and Studio team - let’s introduce ourselves
The Content Optimization and Studio team is responsible for content activated in paid media channels and across volvocars.com. Our team consists of graphic designers, copywriters, planners, content optimization specialists and website content managers. 

 

Willingness to continually learn, having an open mind, and being able to align with our shared objectives are vital. You will collaborate with various teams to execute on briefs and ensure top quality. You should have a broad experience working with data-driven content, and you are used to producing content across various channels, with a strong focus on paid media.

 

Copywriter – this is what you’ll do
•    Originate, ideate and shape copy concepts and produce new content for all paid and direct marketing channels – covering car products, brand campaigns and online sales.
•    Ensure ongoing scalability, tonal coherence and legal consistency of copy across all materials produced.
•    Generate and implement content and sales-driven campaigns for digital performance optimization.
•    Take a performance-driven approach to copy, utilising data as your guiding star for drafting, iterating and tweaking copy.
•    Produce all forms of copy required for paid and direct channels: everything from paid social and display ads to CRM projects and email marketing.
•    Represent and promote digital paid and direct copy from a data-driven perspective within Marketing & Brand.

You’ll collaborate closely with the rest of the team and are used to producing all forms of copy required for a variety of media, including social, print, video, and online channels. Collaboration is key - internally across multiple departments within Volvo; and externally with agencies, design studios, and production companies. Always with an effort to create unique campaigns, assets and experiences with a specific target audience in mind.

 

We’re looking for you! 
You are an experienced copywriter with a proven background in marketing for paid and direct channels. We're after a data-driven, eagle-eyed copywriter who produces copy that scales easily across different markets. You're highly creative, adaptable and can work in a cross-functional setting with multiple teams. 

 

Strong copywriting skills and the ability to think conceptually are a must. Based on insights, you can set the initial concept direction and are used to taking and giving feedback on creative work.

 

You've worked with global brands, and you understand the cultural differences and challenges they can bring. While creativity and a collaborative mindset are critical, planning and organizational skills are also needed. 

 

Volvo Cars is a global company, so you need to be proficient in English, verbally and written, as well as have an interest in and ability to travel.

Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communication or marketing 
•    You have professional experience as a copywriter with a demonstrable background in building concepts and always-on content at scale for multiple markets. 
•    Ideally, you have at least five years of working experience in an ad agency, design agency, or similar role with a client
•    Extremely strong communication skills. Excellent writing and editing skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar
•    Experience working with various global brands, understanding cultural differences and challenges 
•    Experience building stories and presentations to pitch your ideas
•    Develops and maintains the brand voice and tone
•    Uses data-driven marketing to guide all copy decisions
•    Thrives in a fast-paced work environment and meets tight deadlines
•    Proof of previous work and portfolio
•    Native-English fluency is a major plus; additional language(s) are a bonus
