About us
The department Electrical Infrastructure offers the possibility to work with electrical distribution system (EDS), electrical system design, and electrical attribute areas, for all vehicle lines within Volvo Cars.

One of the attribute areas is ElectroMagnetic Compatibility (EMC). An attribute relates to different levels of design, e.g. complete vehicle, customer function, system, and module. It describes the expectations of performance of our products. There are four EMC teams within Electrical Infrastructure, EMC Shared service, EMC releases, EMC testing and EMC components. These teams are working with requirements, hardware reviews, reviewing and supporting the preparation of test plans and performing vehicle legal testing and other related tasks.

There is also another team supporting in EMC and that is the simulation team who handle mechanical, electrical and EMC simulations. Mechanical and electromagnetic compatibility simulations are used both during virtual design and verification, as well as digital tool design/development and digital method development.

We are now recruiting a Product Owner for the area of ElectroMagnetic Compatibility (EMC) to be a part of a team with highly skilled Product Owners and System Architects/engineers.
