Our business since its inception in 1991 has been to develop the best retail dealer system and information services for the automotive industry. In the current situation, we have about 100 employees with expertise in areas such as automotive trade, project management, systems and IT. Some of our largest customers are Volvo, Renault and Ford dealers and their general agents and today we have over 10 000 users of our solutions. We are seated in beautiful, newly renovated premises at Lindholmen in Gothenburg. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Volvo Car Sweden.

What we offer

The connected Experience unit within R&D includes Connectivity and Car Cloud Platform, Infotainment Platform, Applications and Data & Diagnostics. Our vision and strategy are to maximize the attractiveness of owning and using a Volvo, make all cars connected and provide a continuously enhanced experience for both new and existing cars. The ART Connectivity Platform within the Department Connectivity and Car Cloud Platform is responsible for delivering Global Connectivity as a service – E2E including HW, SW and Mobile Network Services. Our platform is the prerequisite for all connected applications and services within the vehicle.

What you’ll do

Your purpose as a System Designer, together with your colleagues in your agile team and the product owner, is to provide stepwise (business) value to the larger solutions/systems (via the Agile Release Train - ART).  Your focus is on system design and ensuring our customers get the best possible system for functionality and quality within the Call Center Services area. We also expect you to be on top of technology evolution and provide new ideas to continuously improve the product and our processes.

Business acumen, integrity and courage are characteristics that describe you very well. You are a self-driven individual, someone who is positive and analytical. You need to present the results in a structured and understandable way and take ownership of the product.

You embrace teamwork and collaboration and are eager to learn and develop new competencies. Experience working in the automotive or telecom industry is a clear advantage to succeed in this role.

We see that you have a BSc degree or higher in Software or/and Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. +5 years of system design, strong communication skills and EU driver's license B.

In addition, you’ll need experience and competence in the following areas;

• System design within large distributed systems
• Experience with both in-car and cloud communication
• Radio access technologies 3G/LTE/ 5G, WiFi, BLE
• GNSS – Global Navigation Satellite System
• Communication networks inside a vehicle Ethernet, FlexRay, CAN
• Working with suppliers
