System Architect – Exterior Systems
The department Exterior Systems has the responsibility to develop the exterior mechatronic systems in our vehicles. This involves development of customer functionality, system design, hardware design, software development and verification on all levels. The technical responsibility covers system solutions in various areas, among them exterior front lighting and rear lighting, wipers, washer, sensor cleaning and rear-view systems/mirrors. 
We are now looking for a System Architect who will be teaming up with our other three System Architects within the department.

What you will do
You will be the System Architect focusing on the SW and Electrical Architecture aspects of the components and systems developed within our department. You will work in a very broad context with tasks that are quite diversified. In your daily work, you will have many various interactions with colleagues, both internally our department, but also externally within other areas of R&D. You will act in a leading position and have the ambition to create clarity and guidance. You will define the tools and processes that is needed to optimize the development in our organization.

You will make sure that requirements are balanced in the best way, together with concerned stakeholders. Together with the teams within the department, especially SW architects and SW developers, you will be part of securing a robust technical system solution. You will participate in defining the products within the department, from a module perspective, hence you need to have, or eventually acquire good knowledge of the company product structure. Part of the assignment is to participate in planning and development of infrastructure for test and quality assurance, e.g. development of test strategies and supporting test environment set-up. You will be part of the management team within the department, and you will report to the head of the department.

You and your skills
You have a good understanding of software and system design in an electrical architecture context. You are also familiar with software allocation in a distributed electrical system and understands well the dependency between software and hardware in such a system. Requirement handling will be part of your responsibility. You have a solid system design background and a passion for processes, quality, clarity, system, software, and cars. Communicating and connecting to stakeholders comes naturally for you, and you can balance expectations and needs of our product. You are self-motivated and can easily work together with your colleagues, and you dare to make decisions when needed. You will bring in your skills in how to work in an agile way in the best way.

You have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Automotive, Electrical Engineering, Software or equivalent. Driver`s license (B-level), valid in EU is meritorious. 

Good communication skills in English (speech and writing) is necessary.
