About us
Industrialization is a section within Geo&Body at Manufacturing engineering. We implement and verify process, equipment and product geometry during industrialization phase to achieve optimal availability, high maintainability and correct product quality for new programs.
You will work with the Industrialization team that is part of Manufacturing Engineering Body & Geo and has responsibility to develop and implement equipment solutions for product projects, running changes, capacity projects and non-product projects according to project targets. You- will be located in Kosice (Slovakia) but the first year will include some months in other Volvo sites. You will be responsible for securing all ME Geo & Body Industrialization deliveries from the area upper body.
Purpose of an Area Leader
To be a project leader and lead a cross functional team that secures best process design possible by driving Manufacturing KPIs for an intended manufacturing plant within own commodity area. To lead the team and balance the technique, cost and time towards set targets. To own and align global manufacturing processes and strategies within the Car programs that share commonality with programs or platforms.
What you will do
• Plan and lead the team to achieve project time plans.
• Securing all Manufacturing deliveries from the team to the car programs.
• Responsible for RFQ creation. (Request For Quotation)
• Main contact person to Contractor/Line Builders.
• Share best practice and knowledge and coach the team members.
• Responsible for Area budget.
• Responsible for handing over equipment to end user (production organization).

Do you fit the profile?
You have a M.Sc. in Production or Mechanical Engineering or corresponding professional experience, such as Project Leader or similar.
Other attributes which we put value on are; Business acumen mind-set, a good interpersonal and collaboration skills as well as being enthusiastic and customer focused. We believe that you are engaged in your work and encourage people that you interact with. You have a strong willingness and ability to drive change and results. Ability to travel within and outside Europe is of big importance as this is part of the role. You need to be fluent in English and Slovak, written and spoken due to our global organisation set up.
The position is located in Kosice, Slovakia.
