Here is a golden opportunity within Manufacturing Engineering Industrialization, where we are looking for a Team Manager who will be a part of Manufacturing Engineering Body & Geometry assurance, belonging to the Engineering & Operations unit in Volvo Cars. Your future department is responsible to develop the process and implement vehicle programs and engineering changes into the global production sites within the area of Body & Geo.

You will work with the Industrialization team that is part of Manufacturing Engineering Body & Geo and has responsibility to develop and implement equipment solutions for product projects, running changes, capacity projects and non-product projects according to project targets. Your team will be located in Kosice (VCK), with the main task to set future business direction within the area of process, facility, tooling and equipment for the VCK Body shop.

What will you do?
Your main tasks will be to lead, develop and manage the ME Body & Geo Industrialization team in VCK. It will be a new team and one of your primary focuses will be to build it up with required competences, stakeholder networks and methods. We believe that you can organize work and resources so that company objectives, short and long-term are met in an efficient manner. You will also contribute as an active member in the Industrialization management team where you can bring in new ideas and reflections.
Our managers at Volvo Cars play a very important role as ambassadors both within the company and with external contacts. You need continuously to work through your team to ensure solutions with optimal availability, high maintainability, and product quality. Your network will be colleagues across Volvo cars globally, where you can learn, share and create things together.

Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for a leader with high ambitions and great interest in developing people, manufacturing engineering and working in a global context. You have a university level education and experience in manufacturing process, tooling and equipment engineering. To be successful in this role you also need to have basic knowledge about body in white processes. You bring leadership skills in project management, leading diverse teams, or previous working experience as a manager. To be successful in this role, you need to be team-oriented person with good communication and cooperation skills. You are curious in learning new things and want to challenge status quo.
Fluency in English and Slovak language is required, both written and spoken and you also need to have the flexibility to travel.
The position is located in Koscie, Slovakia.
