Global Social Media Team - let’s introduce ourselves
We are a fast-paced team working both with social media strategy and day to day content creation as well as bigger campaigns that spans over all marketing channels. We are the ones making sure our company strategy is reflected in everyday posts and in interactions with our followers and fans. We are one part in building the personal interaction with our fans and customers moving towards a Direct-to-Consumer business. 

 

Social Media Manager– this is what you’ll do
You will be one of the team members bringing our brand to life in our social media channels, guided by our social media vision and strategy. You excel at social media engagement, planning, channel specific content development, channel operations, and social measurement. 

 

You will create social media content based on strategy and playbook and plan and schedule social media content for all channels that is used by Volvo Cars.  You will work in a team of social media experts in planning editorial and content calendars as well as operational frameworks to deliver.

 

Further, you will be part of building an impactful social activity that leads to an improvement in brand favorability and trust.

 

You will partner with internal teams to execute coordinated social activity for brand and product campaigns helping to breathe social-first thinking into everything we do. You will collaborate with colleagues all around the world to make sure we create impact in all regions.

 

In this role, you will develop and nurture relationships and roadmaps with Volvo Cars global social media and creative agencies. In order to always improve, you will work with a test and learn approach. You will also request pricing, project scopes and quotes from external agencies.

 

The ideal candidate is ambitious, results-oriented, has a pulse on the social landscape, has helped drive innovation, and has been part of executing the strategy and best practices in social media for a global brand (either in-house or at an agency).

 

Qualifications:

•    Deep knowledge of all major social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
•    Eagerness to further deepen knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms and user behavior in Social media. 
•    Ability to collect, analyze, and use data to make sure we always improve
•    Creative mind with a structured approach to deliver on time
•    You are at the cutting edge of social trends and culture, knowing how to credibly and sensitively harness them while maintaining brand safety and values
•    Expert in developing social marketing strategies that are native to each channel and that can deliver tangible results
•    Best practices for global social media strategy with regional nuance across Americas, EMEA, and APAC – executing locally in partnership with local region/market channel experts 
•    Experienced in creative agency relationship management
•    Project and time management skills
•    Used at sharing knowledge and best practice within the organization
•    Fluent in English
