Our business since its inception in 1991 has been to develop the best retail dealer system and information services for the automotive industry. In the current situation, we have about 100 employees with expertise in areas such as automotive trade, project management, systems and IT. Some of our largest customers are Volvo, Renault and Ford dealers and their general agents and today we have over 10 000 users of our solutions. We are seated in beautiful, newly renovated premises at Lindholmen in Gothenburg. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Volvo Car Sweden.

We are looking to rethink all aspects of the car ecosystem including ownership, personalization, autonomous driving, vehicle electrification, sustainability and online shopping. User Experience as a discipline is a key part of Volvo Cars' strategy and a newly formed UX organization will help gather insights about our user's and redefine and elevate the users experience of Volvo's products and Services. We are looking for a seasoned leader that has a deep understanding on how to design and develop thoughtful hardware solutions that address people’s needs from a functional and behavioral level to lead our team working on physical controls, spaces and future looking hardware development tracks (Progression Team)

What we're looking for (Minimum qualifications):
15 years of professional experience designing consumer facing hardware
5+ years managing or leading multi-disciplinary product design teams
Extensive experience guiding a team to define clear use cases and build convincing business cases to prioritize and develop specific hardware solutions
Extensie experience overseeing the development of interactive and connected hardware that stands on a humanistic approach from it’s inception and focus on solving the right problems What we wish you bring to the table

(Preferred qualifications): You have experience managing and influencing stakeholders across large organizations You lead by example: your creativity, organizational and communication skills inspire your team and coworkers and you make sure to treat people with dignity and empathy even in the middle of a debate or when ideas are not fully aligned Manager,
You think strategically, always keeping in mind the greater goal (and good) and are an effective tactician that knows what to build, what to delegate and how to structure your team and resources witht that greater goal in mind Effectiveness in working across organizational boundaries to define, manage, and prioritize work
You have a proven track record of delivering user centric design on time and contributing to a high performing team You understand and have experience building the “red thread” between concept definition, business needs, engineering capabilities and people’s needs and desires

What you'll do:
Manage, nurture and develop a team of managers and designers working on the intersection of hardware, software and services
Drive the continuous collaboration between business, product, physical design and our multiple stakeholders
Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, marketing and other to help create efficient teams
Be an integral part of the Car UX leadership team at Volvo and drive forward thoughtfull product development across the company
Evangelize sustainable, circular and people centric design across the company and as a public facing leader
