The Role

This role entails a global responsibility for Volvo Cars brand and eCommerce online touch points and you will be accountable for its success in our global business. Consumer Acquisition and Selling is all about creating a frictionless omni-channel experience that makes shopping with Volvo a delightful and hassel-free experience.

You’re responsible for leading the product development for Consumer Acquisition and Selling , developing the long-term product strategy and driving execution. You’ll collaborate closely with UX and Engineering leaders, our commercial and marketing organisations and other stakeholders in global and regional teams. A core component of the role is mentoring and developing the a team of Group Product managers and Product Managers, helping them excel in their craft and develop robust customer-centric strategies, build roadmaps for their products and managing stakeholders .

The role can be located at Volvo Cars Headquarters in Gothenburg or in the Stockholm tech hub. Alternative locations can be discussed, however a presence at the Headquarters is needed in order to succeed in the role

Candidate profile

We are looking for an experienced, data driven leader with a passion for product development and abilities to set the strategy for new products and quickly deliver towards it in a fast moving team and organization. The ideal candidate has experience with creating best-in-class user experiences taking advantage of the latest technology available to bring new digital products to market.

To be successful in this role:

  • You need to be fully conversant in all the moving parts that contribute to the success of a global eCommerce business - from product discovery and delivery to digital marketing, analytics and conversion optimisation.
  • You need to be able to take tough trade-off decisions between projects or investment areas to maximize value delivered and to identify creative ways to better leverage your team to operate in resource constrain situations.
  • You thrive in environment of change and you understand how to navigate through tough prioritizations keeping people motivated and energised.
  • You should be confident in your product positioning and analytical abilities to lead the business to its next stage of growth. Bonus points if you have created new customer experiences as part of big transformation initiatives.
  • You are data driven, and able to develop and report performance metrics, forecasting, budgeting and analysis to identify potential opportunities for improving customer experience.
  • You are a growth-oriented and thoughtful leader who grows by helping other people set and achieve their goals
