About our R&D - Core System Components

Volvo Cars Core System is built up by high performance and high-integrity components with different Operating Systems that together ensure a highly reliable and safe car. At the department/ART Core System Components we develop core system hardware, deploy it using high-integrity operating systems and integrate the applications on top. 
We have responsibilities that stretch all the way from concept development, through the development cycle, and to the launch of the car. This includes all steps in the process from defining platform components to the integration of applications and continuous integration testing, for all involved disciplines. Our ART is responsible for developing and integrating several electronic control units used in all car platforms with sourced and in-house developed software.

What´s in it for you?
As a Product Owner for the Zone Controller Application team, you will build, lead, and develop an organization that is responsible to integrate test and release the applications that will run on a Autosar-based platform for next-generation body controllers. As Product Owner, you are responsible to set up and nurse the Road Map for the teams and take responsibility to prioritize the work across all phases from building the first Software for a simulated environment to the end customer of our Volvo Cars.

Who are you
You are passionate, curious, and positive, and have a strong drive to engage and support teams and people. Your communication skills are excellent, you value collaboration and balancing of different stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, you understand the technical development process and the steps needed to reach the target. You can visualize the technical roadmap and feel comfortable prioritizing the team’s backlog. You are fluent in English, written and spoken.

Meritorious for this role is to have worked with software development (python or C??), Embedded Software Development, Software Testing, worked with Automotive Diagnostic or Software integration.

What is giving you an edge is that you are passionate and can motivate and lead people. Due to the fact that a complex technical environment always has room for unknowns, curiosity and the ability to learn will set you ahead of all others, regardless of experience.
