Service Manager within Software Asset Management services i Stockholm

Do you today work with Software Asset Management or License Desk and see yourself a resource in your position? Equally important to have a helicopter view and to go deeper into the details? Then you are whom we are looking for!

The Software Asset Management team consists currently of a team of three Software Assets managers. The team is organized in the Engineering IT Solutions (EIS) unit within Sweco IT. The team works in close conjunction with our service managers, procurement office legal, and stakeholders within the business. The team reports to unit manager for EIS. We strive to continuously improve our services, reduce and avoid cost, and optimizing our procurement processes and tools.

The SAM team is now recruiting, and we are looking for people with a thorough knowledge and experience from SW products or generalists that are well experienced in providing software asset manager services to customers. We are also interested to get in contact with people that meet the personal profile below and have a strong interest in software products in general.

Areas of responsibility

  • Raise awareness of SAM processes and policy across the IT organization and wider business as appropriate through communication with and education of stakeholders
  • Providing contract and licensing consultancy to stakeholders
  • Lead or participate when procuring and renewing software contracts on behalf of local or global software owners.
  • Maintain and update SW contracts in CMDB (ServiceNow)
  • Create and maintain SAM reports to communicate and monitor compliance, liability, internal charge back and budgetary data
  • Identifying areas for cost savings through the identification of shelf ware, alternative support options, rationalization, license recycling and optimal licensing practices
  • Handle SW requests and questions
  • Support the continuous improvement of processes and tools, identify cost saving opportunities.

Your profile

You should have 3-5 years’ experience within the area of Software Asset management, or from a license desk, especially procuring, inventory and reporting. You should feel confident using English both written and spoken, but fluency in a Scandinavian language is also required.

Professional experience: 

  • Broad, relevant experience compensates for formal education.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and ISO/IEC 19770-1 is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of various types of vendor software contract and license agreement such as: Microsoft, Adobe or similar.
  • Understanding of software inventory tools, such as XENSAM, SNOW, SCCM or similar
  • Understanding of IT software asset life cycle stages and activities

  • True team player who enjoys working with others, highly communicative, and that you don’t mind sharing your knowledge and insights.
  • With your line manager in Norway, you are expected to work and thrive with a remote manager.

Location

The position is located at our headquarters in Stockholm, but other locations in Sweden, Norway or Denmark can be considered for the right candidate. Some travel can be expected.
