The challenge

Volvo Cars Torslanda is set to be the first site out with the introduction of Mega Casting and Machining. Within the organization, you are offered to take part in an exciting journey where the emphasis during the project phase is on the development of your personal but also the team's competence. You will be involved from the start, creating an open-minded, equal, fair workplace with inclusion and diversity, where people are at the center. Our goal is to introduce two new competence areas with support from highly skilled members from cross functional department collaborations.

Your contribution

We are searching for members with different backgrounds, both theoretical and work life experienced based, depending on the indented role of interest. Previous practice from foundry or machining production environment are highly attractive. With your former experience and skills, you will also help and contribute with knowledge transfer to other members of the team. In a running production state, it’s expected of you to implement improvements or participate in development. Depending on your role, working hours may vary, but we want you to be open for all types of shift form. A certain level of travel is expected during the project phase.

What you’ll bring

Besides having the appropriate formal and/or practical experience we value your personality and ability to grow in our new competence area. Important attributes are the ability to quickly adapt to new situations and accurately execute on agreed deliveries. We believe that you like to learn new skills, are curious and take own initiative in your daily work. You can adapt your communication to recipients and are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
