You will join the digital area of Supply Chain and Procurement and be part of the cluster Parts Supply & Logistics (PS&L). This product cluster delivers digital solutions that support our business customers in ensuring stable logistics flows of spare parts to our global destinations. One challenge today is the legacy system landscape where our mission is to simplify and modernize it to serve the future business demands. This is an exciting and challenging task for our teams and of course we have fun during this journey!

 

We are looking for a passionate Agile Team manager that can lead one of the product teams within the cluster. To succeed in this role, we believe that you are an experienced people leader with a genuine interest for developing others, enjoy empowering people and embrace an agile mindset and culture.   

 

What you’ll do

 

You will coach, challenge and support the team to continuously learn, grow, collaborate and deliver great results. You will work on individual and team development promoting our feedback culture, carrying out appraisals and assisting in setting development plans. You identify a team recruitment strategy and ensure required competences by recruiting and onboarding highly skilled team members.

 

You will define the working methodology, ensure transparency of the progress and support in removing impediments for deliveries. You advocate and advance modern development practices and champion high technical and architectural standards to facilitate sound technical decisions in the product team. You will be Volvo Cars Culture ambassador: you create an environment where people are motivated and enthusiastic, and you also facilitate good collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

 

What you’ll bring

 

-          Good leadership skills and experience in leadership positions

-          Effective communication and collaboration skills

-          A mindset characterized by innovation

-          Experience in setting agile ways of working

-          IT technical background, good knowledge and ability to navigate in both legacy and modern system landscape (development skills in for example Cobol and Java is valuable)

-          Hands-on experience in IT landscape transformations

-          Knowledge in supply chain management and logistics is a benefit

 

You possess a problem-solving mindset and a holistic viewpoint who is able to inspire and motivate others in working towards a common goal. You are curious, visionary, self-propelled, ready to walk the extra mile. You are creative, open to new ideas and always looking for ways to improve. An analytical and strategic mindset and an eagerness to learn are two very important qualities to have. We trust you to own your decisions in your field of expertise.

 

You can communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
