Om tjänsten

Software that makes a difference

At Volvo Cars, we're bringing big and bold digital visions to life. By building and expanding our digital ecosystem, we're making it easier for people to live simpler, safer, and more sustainable lives. We want to welcome more curious and creative engineers who want to change the world - one line of high-quality code at a time. Our transformation isn't for everyone, but if you're excited about solving the technological challenges facing the auto industry, then this role could be for you.

  What you’ll do

We are looking for a curious and eager Technical Developer/Business Analyst to support the Treasury Digital Team. You will be part of a team responsible for the digital development and operations in the Treasury function, which is part of our commercial finance organization. We are working in a DevOps environment where we prioritize being service-oriented and available for our business users, while also being enthusiastic about exploring more complex technical and financial areas. The software systems we use are COTS/SaaS solutions where we actively work together with our suppliers to have the best possible technical setup.

As a Developer/Business Analyst, you will develop the existing setup and suggest improvements for Treasury-related processes and the treasury management system (Quantum), while also actively participating in the development and implementation of these enhancements. Furthermore, you will contribute to the future digitalization roadmap for Treasury to ensure we remain in the technical forefront and utilize the right systems fit for purpose. You will be enabling and supporting the business by working together with different stakeholders in the organization, including teams from Treasury and Accounting. Your tasks and responsibilities in this position will be:

  • Provide business users with daily support connected to our systems and operations.

  • Create, maintain and implement new solutions in the treasury management system

  • Write scripts in PowerShell and Python

  • Develop our Snowflake data warehouse

  • Build and maintain financial reports in Power BI and Quantum

  • Assist in system upgrade projects

  • Define and break down business needs, including impact mapping and dependency analysis, with a focus on business value

What you’ll bring

You have a university degree in Finance, Engineering or Computer/Systems Science. You have at least a few years of relevant experience including hands on experience from working with Treasury related processes and at least one Treasury Management System. You have development experience in BI tools such as Power BI and Snowflake. You have experience in system implementations or upgrade projects. It is considered a merit if you have experience with the Quantum Treasury Management System.

As a person we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting people to improve their daily work by digitalization. A collaborative person that can make own decisions and carry out when required. Ideally, you are someone who has a genuine interest in both technology and finance, along with a genuine desire to learn more. You tend to listen at least as much as you talk, and you follow through on your ideas and commitments. People around you see you as trustworthy, dependable and a collaborative person. You have solid communication abilities with high verbal and written English proficiency.

Want to know more? We hope so.
