Volvo Cars is performing a strategic shift towards becoming a software driven company, with data being a core asset in this transformation. You will join the digital area of Supply Chain and Procurement and be part of the cluster Outbound Logistics and Global Trade Management & Compliance.

We are looking for a passionate Digital Product Owner that can lead our Global Trade Management & Compliance product team. The product works together with our global business to secure compliance and adherence to global and local trade legislations. The product scope spans across our global supply chain around the world, from inbound to outbound and spare parts logistics. It manages the global trade processes & procedures that enable digital tools for trade and export control matters.

The product owner (PO) maximizes consumer value by owning and deciding upon priorities in the product backlog from a business perspective to streamline the execution, while maintaining technical integrity of the features/components for the team. You are the voice of the user; you have a business perspective and technical knowhow.

You will define and consistently emphasize the short- and long-term vision of the product to the team and relevant stakeholders by working with the roadmap, and content presentations. Another mission is to articulate how our systems and tools can be used efficiently in trade processes connected to import, export, OPR, Free Trade Zone etc.

You will own, prioritize, decide and refine the stories in the Team Backlog including defects and enablers. You will make sure to understand the scope of the upcoming work, collaborate with the team and architects to assist with decision-making and sequencing of the key technological infrastructures.

Furthermore, you will ensure the end-to-end operations of the product, including transition and monitoring. Coordinating projects/content dependencies with other Product Owners will be part of your everyday work. You will also collaborate with external service providers and vendors.
 

We believe that you have experience in digital product development as a Product Owner, Project manager or equivalent role. You have a genuine interest in software development and experience of IT solutions and automotive and/or supply chain processes, preferably within the trade area. Moreover, we think that you have:
 

·        Experience of in-house development, SaaS solutions and COTS products.

·        Experience with software architecture.

·        Experience from data integration (MQ, API etc).

·        Experience of ITIL processes.

·        Experience of using software development tools such as Azure Devops.
