What´s in it for you?
In this exciting role you will be part of the global communications team. You will work at the heart of operations and closely together with managers on a daily basis. Your peer Communication managers in the US, APAAC and EMEA (Sweden & Belgium) will be your close collaboration partners. 
Further, you will be a member of the local management team and the communication point of contact at the plant. 


Communication Manager – this is what you´ll do
We´re looking for a Communication Manager to help to build and execute the communication strategy at the Volvo Car Torslanda plant, being able to give an answer to daily communication challenges in an operational environment. In this job, you’ll get the opportunity to help shape Volvo Car Torslanda’s communication strategy and online presence from the front row. 

This is a 360° communication role and you will be responsible for the communication strategy of one of Volvo Cars' largest plants. You will be part of the Plant Management Team (plant level) and have a decisive/defining role in drawing up communication plans for plant related projects and activities.
Further, you are part of the Employee Communications Team (global level) and the Plant Communications team.

You will be responsible for and coordinate the various communication channels used in the communication mix, with a strong focus on employee communications and you will create your own content and look for stories that can be shared internally/externally. 

In this role, you will improve the company's visibility online and position the plant as a strong employer, both internally and externally (employer branding) with the help of social media. You know how to set priorities in a continuously changing environment, and you are able to work fast and efficient.

We´re looking for you and you have…
•    Followed a communication-related education (Communication Science, Journalism, Digital, Marketing, ) or has 5 to 10 years of experience in a communication role
•    Experience in an operational environment is a plus (warehouse, plant, …)
•    Experience from working with communication in a factory or plant environment
•    Knowledge of various internal communication tools (Teams, screen communication, newsletters, planning tools) and external communication tools like social media
•    Knows the ins and outs of digital communication or is eager to learn on the job
•    Writes flawlessly in Swedish and has a very good knowledge of English
•    Can think strategically and act operationally


More, you will be based at the Volvo Cars factory in Torslanda (Gothenburg) and at several occasions you will attend meetings and work in the HQ building, also in Torslanda.
