My name is Thomas Laust Nørregaard and I’m the hiring manager for this position. About the position Category Manager and the team

With an investment budget of 1 billion NOK and over 400 different suppliers, we work hard to optimize our operating costs by consolidating and simplifying purchases and investments across all countries. In the coming years we will strive to decrease the number of suppliers, by choosing the ones which support our business strategy the best way and which we will work to have a closer partnership with. 

In the Investment & Supplier management team, we have colleagues from the Nordic and Baltic countries. We have a large degree of professional freedom, and you will work closely with some of the market's most skilled competences within Vendor-, Contract-, Investment- & License management. 
 

 Your primary tasks 

• Vendor choice based on business capability requirements. 
• Responsible for optimizing and define new vendor contracts. 
• Focus on driving down CAPEX and OPEX. 
• Research and analyze market insights. 
• Understand stakeholder needs and requirements. 
• Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products.
• Build trust relationships with vendors. 
• Negotiate with external vendors. 
• Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services. 
• Assess cost against market. 
• Responsible of discussing business model with vendors. 

 

Is this You? 

• You have a proven record of responsibility within negotiating large and complex vendor contracts. 
• You understand the tactics & politics in negotiations.   
• You can communicate from the specialist- to the CxO level. 
• Talent in networking and stakeholder management. 
• Curiosity within optimizing the way of working to drive down cost.  
• Understanding the financials budget/forecast. 
• Flexible and positive mindset 
• See teamwork as a fundamental way of achieving the best results. 
• English at a good level, both orally and in writing.
