Each year, Volvo Cars welcome students as Summer Workers to our sites in Gothenburg, Olofström, Skövde och Lund. As a Summer Worker at Volvo Cars you can work in production, in one of our storages or at the office. Spending a few weeks in our team is a great way for you to get an insight to what life at Volvo Cars can be like and gives you a basic understanding of our operations. It also provides you with a strong network in our organization, which can be of value in your future career.  The number of Summer Worker positions and work areas varies from year to year.

What we do?
Car Service Business is a unit within Volvo Cars that works with creating a user-friendly owner experience around current and future cars in Volvo’s portfolio.

The environment we operate in is undergoing a great transformation, not only from a vehicle technology perspective, but also how our customers set expectations on the complete experience around mobility. In our team we create technical visual content for our consumers and our service technicians. What we produce is of great value and we are very proud of our products.

We are now planning for the summer of 2024 and the team needs additional Visual Content Designers (Summer workers) in Gothenburg/Sweden. This is a full-time position during the weeks 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 on site in our offices in Torslanda.

What you’ll do?

In this role as Visual Content Designer, you will mainly work with exploring ways of solving different tasks within Unreal Engine, on both technical and artistic levels. Some main responsibilities include:

• Explore ways to cooperate in a shared Unreal Engine project.
• Run Unreal Engine in real time for live streams or video content.
• Fluid simulations
• Gamification

What will you bring?

We expect you have the knowledge and interest in one or more of the following fields:

• Technical artist – Unreal Engine, Niagara, Virtual Cameras, C++, Python, Git.
• 3D Artist – Unreal Engine, graphics and art.
• 3D generalist – Good overview of what’s possible within the subjects. Knowledge of CAD data preparation for real time rendering is a big plus.

We believe that you have an interest in the automotive industry, the car and its construction and functionality.
