Each year, Volvo Cars welcome students as Summer Workers to our sites in Gothenburg, Olofström, Skövde och Lund. As a Summer Worker at Volvo Cars you can work in production, in one of our storages or at the office. Spending a few weeks in our team is a great way for you to get an insight to what life at Volvo Cars can be like and gives you a basic understanding of our operations. It also provides you with a strong network in our organization, which can be of value in your future career. The number of Summer Worker positions and work areas varies from year to year.
Who we are?
At Volvo Cars Safety Centre, we strive every day to make the world a safer place for vehicle occupants, their loved ones, and the people around them. Covering the Safety and Durability attributes, we bravely lead the way for safety in and support of the company’s strategic direction: Freedom to move in a personal, sustainable and safe way.
The Data, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence team works in large part with real world safety data to understand and explain accident and injury causation mechanisms. Thus we lay foundations for future safety features and functions in upcoming car development programs. We provide our knowledge to our car programmes through data analysis and knowledge needed to help drive the engineering of world leading products. The work is performed in close collaboration with Volvo Cars digital organisation that provides us the digital infrastructure for retrieving and analysing real world data.
Who you are?
We are looking for a summer worker to support the Data Analytics and AI group at Volvo Cars’ Safety Centre with the coding of crash-relevant information in our crash database derived from different document types. The work covers different aspects such as reviewing and evaluating available information for correctness and plausibility, and coding or correcting data in our database, respectively.
Due to the nature of work, you should be at least 18 years old, with fluency in Swedish and must have a work permit in Sweden. Additionally, you should be familiar with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. Some experiences in health or emergency care, or social work will be preferred.
The applicant must successfully participate in mandatory GDPR training at the beginning of the summer work. The expected work time is six weeks in the period June to August 2024.
