The Interior Occupant Analysis Front & Rear Team at Volvo Cars Safety Centre is responsible for the evaluation of interior passive safety performance in our current and future cars.
You will perform advanced finite element simulations to analyze and develop safety performance in our future cars. You will also learn about full-scale and sled physical testing and you are expected to seamlessly analyze and give recommendations based on both CAE and physical test data.
What you’ll do
As part of the team, your role involves creating and developing virtual simulation models (CAE), performing simulations and analyses using data from virtual and physical tests, contributing to the development of technical solutions and numerical methods, and ensuring the timely delivery of projects. Your main task will be safety integration analysis within occupant safety performance in front and rear crashes. You will be a part of a strong team that is ready to support you on your journey. It will be challenging but also filled with the purpose of safe and sustainable mobility.
Who are you?
The ideal candidate holds an MSc in Engineering and demonstrates proficiency in CAE tools like LS-Dyna, Ansa, and Meta Post, particularly in crash safety analysis. Analytical skills are essential, along with fluency in English. Collaboration is key, requiring strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. Meritorious competencies include experience in CAE interior occupant analysis, familiarity with Volvo's product development process, and previous work with other OEMs in CAE Safety. Proficiency in additional tools like TeamCenter, VisMockup, or Catia, as well as scripting languages like Python, is advantageous. Personal qualities sought include a collaborative approach, structured and well-documented work habits, a positive attitude, and self-drive with a focus on results and flexibility.
