What you'll do
 

As a Department Program Manager you are responsible for the Execution and program lead within the department. You will serve as the primary catalyst for achieving departmental execution. In close collaboration with our Product Managers, Product Owners and Line Management. Your focus will be ensuring our execution and plans remains detailed, transparent, and effectively communicated. Present actual status based on data driven actions and transparency.

 

The Product Managers are responsible for the roadmap and offers specialized technical support and guidance, it is the Department Program Manager that is accountable to guide the execution of our department backlog.

As a leader, you will oversee a broad spectrum of work packages, including system design, software development, software flow, test quality, and troubleshooting. The day-to-day operations is carried out by collaborating closely with Engineering Managers, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters, leveraging on each other’s individual experience and know how.

 

As a vital member of our team, your role will involve ensuring the day-to-day planning and execution of department deliveries, ensuring that projects are completed effectively and in accordance with established timelines. Your collaboration with Product Managers will be instrumental in documenting technical roadmaps that align with our company's strategic goals.

 

In this position, it will be crucial to guarantee the alignment of plans with company expectations, proactively addressing any deviations that may arise. Taking ownership of identifying, addressing, and mitigating risks will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, demonstrating your commitment to the overall success of our initiatives.

As a hands-on leader, you will lead complex technical tasks that extend across organizational borders, showcasing your technical expertise and ability to navigate multifaceted challenges. Serving as the main interface to stakeholders, you will play a vital role in reporting our status, promoting clear communication, and maintaining transparency throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Inspiring collaboration and results-driven teamwork is at the heart of your responsibilities, as you encourage teams and leaders to work cohesively, achieve goals, and find enjoyment in the collaborative process. Additionally, you will oversee and orchestrate department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring that our metrics align with strategic goals and contribute to the overall success of our department.

The ideal candidate for this role will bring a wealth of experience as a technical leader within an embedded systems organization. Your strong leadership and interpersonal skills will be key assets, enabling you to guide and inspire teams in a collaborative and innovative work environment.

 

Demonstrating commitment and adaptability, you have a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Your adept problem-solving and decision-making capabilities will contribute to the successful resolution of challenges, underscoring your ability to navigate complex technical landscapes.

 

With a background in program management, you bring valuable expertise to the position, ensuring effective planning and execution of projects. Your solid understanding of risk management positions you to proactively address challenges, mitigating potential issues before they impact project outcomes.

 

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are fundamental to this role. Your ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner will contribute to effective collaboration and understanding across teams.

Moreover, your familiarity with project management tools and methodologies enhances your capacity to streamline processes, optimize workflows, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our projects.

 

We are seeking a candidate who not only possesses technical proficiency but also embodies proven leadership qualities and effective communication skills—a professional who will thrive in our dynamic work environment and contribute to the success of our embedded systems initiatives. 

 

You will report to the Department Manager of High Integrity Nodes and become a part of the management team.
