Product Manager - Developer Experience - Volvo Cars Tech i Göteborg

We are the Platform organisation within Digital Core. In the Digital Core Platform organization part of our goal is to enable application teams to develop, deploy and operate their software in an efficient, inspiring, and safe manner. Our application platform products are offered on GitOps, that we complement with Backstage to provide a convenient interface to our users; the application development teams. 

The product teams are based out of Sweden, mainly Gothenburg and Stockholm, with some presence in India, working in a global and fast-paced environment with collaboration across geography, operational disciplines, and technology stacks.

We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Product Managers for a few different products related to public cloud, container platform and a unified control plane in which dev teams can manage their resources. These products are part of the Developer Experience and Digital Foundation areas in Platform Unit.

• You will be part of empowered cross-functional product teams of engineers and engineering managers with access to user/data analysts who help understand our users.
• You will develop the product strategy and define the product roadmap based on an integrated understanding of user needs, business direction, anticipated technology trends, and the required changes.
• You will initiate and drive collaborations with other products in Platform as well as application development teams, i.e. our users.
• The platform development team expects you to drive the work to understand the product purpose and product strategy, do discovery and articulate development needs, contribute to the creation of feature specs and user stories, prioritize, and not least secure that the acceptance criteria are met and own the product outcome.

You will be reporting to a Group Product Manager or Senior Product Manager with whom you will help maintain the high-level strategy. As a member of the extended Product Management team you can get further support and feedback from colleagues and together take part in reviewing and contributing to the Developer Experience or Digital Foundation areas’ vision and roadmap.

You are an experienced product manager who has adopted a Lean-Agile mindset, applied servant leadership, has effective communication skills and understands the Empowered Product Team concept.
We would like you to have a proven record of accomplishment when working with defining what makes a great cloud or devops software platform product assortment and related user experience, and communicating that to the product team.

• You are excited about contributing to creating a best-in-class developer user experience, advocating user research based on user needs, technology field research and a data-inspired approach. 
• You have a growth mindset and a proven history of converting learnings from insights into tangible product features that engineers, our users, love.
• You have the ability to think end-to-end, and understand the developers but also understand the strategic needs and constraints. You are an effective communicator, you are used to interacting with a wide set of stakeholders and getting buy-in for your ideas and roadmaps.
