Are you passionate about driving profitability through data and insights? Do you want to play a key role in shaping the future of nearly 500 shops across the Nordics and Germany? Espresso House Group is looking for a Business Controller focused on Real Estate to join our FP&A team.

: Head Office in Solna, Stockholm
About the role
As a Business Controller within Real Estate, you will have a central role in evaluating and developing our extensive shop portfolio. You will provide data-driven insights that support strategic decisions and ensure long-term profitability.
Working closely with stakeholders across the organization, you will lead analyses related to shop performance, rent costs and CAPEX planning. Your work will help drive our agenda for profitable growth and portfolio optimization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide proactive insights and transparency to support data-driven decision making
- Drive in-depth understanding of shop portfolio cost drivers and identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate closely with the Real Estate team and other key stakeholders
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and analysis for rent and related costs, and shop portfolio optimization including shop openings, refurbishments and closures
- Ensure accurate reporting of rent costs in monthly closings and align with IFRS16 accounting
- Maintain high quality templates and documentation for forums discussing investments and development projects
- Forecast, report and follow up on CAPEX
What we are looking for:
- Academic degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
- More than 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Fluent in English and at least one Nordic language
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to challenge and support stakeholders in decision making forums
- Experience handling large data sets, ideally with insights from a real estate or retail perspective
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other tools in the Microsoft Office suite
- A structured and organized way of working
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across teams
It is considered a plus if you have:
- Experience from a similar organization or industry, such as retail, real estate or multi-site operations
- Experience working with Qlik Sense or other business intelligence tools
