Working as a Junior Footwear Technologist in H&M means you will be part of a developing process for the H&M global shoe range. You will work close by a Senior Technologist who will guide you in depth through all areas of this exciting job, teach you and develop you towards a self-sufficient and experienced professional level.

The H&M Buying Office is a dynamic workplace. You will work at a high pace, where rapid changes are a natural part of your working day. Good communication skills, a flexible attitude and the ability to adapt to change are essential.

Requirements:

Education:

• At least 3 years relevant education, HND or BA level

We are looking for the following knowledge and skills:

Professional skills:

• Minimum 1 year working as Footwear Technologist or other Technical education background in footwear.
• Knowledge of footwear construction, components and production processes
• Understanding of fit and risk assessment to carry out details for actions & solutions
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of Illustrator (preferable) or other computerized design program.
• Speak and write fluent English.

Personal skills:

• Great energy and drive, take own initiative and always work towards improving the product.
• Team player, but also able to work independently
• Passion for the shoe industry and enthusiastic to grow and develop as footwear technologist
• Initiative to find the efficiency in each area and always flexible to accept change in the daily routine.
• Open minded and positive attitude.

The successful candidate has:

• Strong fashion sense with an eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and IT skills
• Understanding of H&M company values and price range, whilst maintaining a high fashion and quality level.
