We are entering a new chapter of strategic development, investing in our category management capabilities, modernizing our systems, and strengthening how we bring products to market. As part of this journey, we are looking for a Director of Assortment to lead and shape our product strategy for the years ahead.

Assignment

As Director of Assortment, you will own the strategic direction of Kjell & Company’s entire product portfolio. This is a high-impact leadership role where you lead the Category Management team, define assortment strategy, and ensure our offering meets customer expectations while driving profitability and capital efficiency.

You will work at the intersection of strategy and execution, translating insights into winning product decisions and building the processes and governance needed to scale.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Strategy: Define and execute assortment strategy across categories and channels.

Commercial Excellence: Drive portfolio optimization, own P&L, and partner on supplier negotiations.

Process & Governance: Implement best-in-class category management frameworks and KPIs.

Team Leadership: Lead and develop the Category Management team, fostering collaboration and accountability.

Your background

We are looking for an experienced leader with strong commercial acumen and a strategic mindset.

You have:

• 10+ years in category management, assortment planning, or merchandising (retail or consumer goods).
• Proven leadership experience building high-performing teams.
• Strong P&L responsibility and margin improvement track record.
• Analytical and data-driven approach.
• Fluent in Swedish and English.
• Experience in consumer electronics, omnichannel retail, or Nordic markets is a plus.

This role is based at our headquarter office in central Malmö.
