Product Development Unit Packet Core is a global R&D unit responsible for delivering products and solutions within Business Area Digital Services. PDU Packet Core develop Mobile Core network nodes with market leading functionality, designed for cost effective, reliable and secure operations. Packet core is developing the next generation 5G core portfolio, evolving architecture and implementation, exploring and engaging in new Market Segments such as Internet of Things, and driving towards the Networked Society vision.
You will be part of a unit responsible for the virtualized Packet Core portfolio which addresses needs from traditional large scale mobile broadband and communication services down to specialized small-scale solutions designed for vertical and enterprise solutions on a single server. We are experiencing a very high customer demand on delivering Packet Core Functions deployed with cloud technology.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced person able to take on the task of working with O&M of our physical node functions as well as our Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) when deployed on an NFV infrastructure. You will be working with orchestration of our VNFs according to the ETSI NFV Framework. First task will be to work with VNF life Cycle Management, to specify functions (work flows) for VNF onboarding, VNF instantiation, VNF scale out/in and similar.
