The headquarters is based at Lindholmen (Gothenburg, Sweden) but we also have development in Shanghai and a strong dependency to PDU Cloud in Kista (Cloud Execution Environment, CEE, development).

Position Summary

The Release & Support department are responsible for the System Test of SGSN-MME. This means we are responsible for regression verification of functional and non-functional requirements of the MME application as well as tool development and integration of the application into the virtual cloud environment.

Other responsibilities in R&S department is the development of the engineering environment tools and infrastructure as well as responsible for release of SGSN-MME and EPG products and support and maintenance. The MME application is used in both a physical and virtual set-up. The physical version is based on the Mark VIII and Mark X WPP platform developed by Ericsson and the virtual MME is a high-performance application that can be deployed in different cloud environments. We also support Customer Proof of Concept activities both inhouse and on customer site.

First of all, you are curious and interested to learn new skills and new technology. You must want to learn about new things such as how 5G will impact our test work and how we can utilize new technologies such as machine learning / deep learning to make testing more efficient and effective. You must like deep troubleshooting and script programming such as development of automated test cases (if you do not already have everything listed below you now have opportunity to learn).

We are looking for a skilled, self-motivated, and service-minded developer who wants to become part of the best system test team in the world!

Qualifications

Core competencies

To understand our test framework and tools, and to set up your own test channel when reproducing faults, you should know Python or other script languages

There are other skills which are important – if you do not have them right now you have an excellent opportunity to learn e.g. 5G and virtual cloud environment

Strong systems and networking foundational knowledge (EPC network system architecture, TCP, UDP, SCTP, LANs and routing).

tcpdump, wireshark and other packet analysis tools with strong debugging competence to troubleshoot problems at all layers.

Debugging, analyzing core dumps,

E2e technical understanding

Scripting & coding knowledge of Python, Java and Gherkin

Minimum Experience Requirements

BSc level in a technical discipline or the equivalent level of knowledge
