Then you might be the right person for us, Ericsson Research is now looking for a deep learning specialist to join the Machine Learning Research team. You are a data scientist who gets inspired by large datasets, solving complex problems in a cross functional team of data scientists and subject matter experts. You like pushing the latest technology boundaries in the data science field. You have a few years’ experience of applying machine learning in practice. Your expertise is in the rising field of deep learning and/or reinforcement learning. In this role you will be applying machine learning in the telecommunications network domain. We are constantly looking for new ways to improve and automate current and future generations of radio systems, managed services, IoT and support solutions.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to Ericsson technology strategy 
  • Developing novel concepts, solutions and algorithms  
  • Presenting prototypes, concept demonstrations and publications.
  • Provide technical expertise across a wide range of Data Science topics and techniques
  • Introducing the solutions into product development 

 

Key Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD degree in statistics, computer science, mathematics, machine learning, or related field
  • Strong skills in Machine Learning especially techniques such as CNN, RNN, Random forest, Gradient boosting, Hyperparameter optimization techniques etc.
  • Strong skills in the use of current state of the art machine learning frameworks such as Keras, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, Spark etc.
  • Knowledge of data wrangling and data munging
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to acquire new knowledge and apply it in the job  
  • Good communication skills in written and spoken English 
  • Creativity and ability to formulate problems and solve them independently  
  • Ability to develop and drive new ways of working, to produce research results in a more efficient way 
  • Experience with data visualization and dashboard creation

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Skills in supervising master thesis students and Researchers  
  • Ability to create Ericsson Internal and external contact network
