The Product Information team is responsible globally for providing Scania product information, pricing and competitor information regarding trucks and buses to our sales organisation. Our responsibility is to provide sales people all over the world with product information about Scania and about our competitors, to enable and increase sales. Product Information team is also responsible for a logical pricing structure and for the channels and systems in which we provide product- and competitor information to the sales force.
We will now reinforce our current product information team with new team members and we are looking for people who want to contribute to this and to develop themselves as a product information manager/technical writer in our team.
As a product information manager you will work with a wide range of questions regarding the product to support our sales force globally but your main focus is the technical writing. You will work with both R&D and the Sales and Marketing organisation, having daily contact with technical specialists and our distributors. In Product Information team you will gain both product knowledge and sales and marketing knowledge.
Role description
Your main task is to provide sales people with Scania product information so that important features are described and that customer benefits are highlighted. The product information normally contains a written text, one or several images and maybe a film. It is all about customer value – how can the customers benefit from our products in their daily operations? The information will be published on the external web and in different sales tools.
As soon as the products are successfully developed your responsibility is to make sure product information is produced and published in time for start of sales. The product information manager role also means participating in different product launches as well as supporting our distributors in answering helpdesk questions.
To be successful in this role you will work cross-functionally with different parts of Scania.
Your profile
We have several job openings and are looking for people with different skills and experiences to bring to the team. What we primarily are looking for is however someone who is really interested in technical writing.
Either you are a newly graduated student in the beginning of your career who is eager to learn more about Scania, about technical writing and about our products. Or you are an experienced technical writer who has at least five years of experience within the field of technical documentation and writing. It will be an asset if you have been working within sales and marketing and know how to approach and communicate within this field. You have experience from different digital solutions, both online and offline, as well as working with translation agencies.
To be successful in this role, good communication skills (written and oral) are required, along with good proficiency in English. Your mother tongue is preferably Swedish or English. You also need to be service minded and enjoy supporting our sales organisation. You are responsive, meticulous and have good cooperation skills. You have the desire to contribute to increased sales of Scania trucks and buses.
