Senior Project Manager - Liaison Office & Strategic Projects i Sodertalje

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

TE – Global Industrial Development is responsible for consolidation and development of Scania’s joint competence within industrial engineering and quality, as well as development and coordination of related IT-systems. TE will gather Scania’s industrial expertise within machine and process engineering, industrial project management, quality and Industrial IT. TE is also responsible for the cooperation within VW Truck & Bus through our Liaison office. Research and cooperation with external partners is also a part of the assignment.

In order to create the conditions for VW Truck & Bus to achieve its long-term vision of becoming a \Global Champion\, we are participating in the creation of the future of Scania Production & Logistics. We study the prerequisites for entering new markets for production, increasing our production capacity and creating the most efficient production network in the world. Our assignors in these exciting and challenging assignments are mostly Scania Ex-board or P & L management team.

Our project managers lead and participate in concept development and cross functional pre-studies for new production set-up’s within our existing production structure and in new emerging markets.

Our team is facing several strategic projects and pre-studies for new emerging markets, such as Iran, Russia, China etc., and need to be strengthened to meet future challenges.

Job description

• Conduct feasibility studies for decision making to give Scania the best conditions for long-term planning of the production structure.
• Represent Production & Logistics in global cross-functional and cross-brand pre-studies and projects.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects within Production & Logistics

Your profile
You have good knowledge of Scania’s processes and organization and a deep knowledge in processes and organization within Production & Logistics. As a person you take the initiative and are able to work independently, paired with the ability to see the big picture and handle complex tasks.

A wide network of contacts within the company will bring the right prerequisites for success in the role.
You need to be fluent in Swedish and English, in both speech and writing
