Senior Vice President Assurance and Control Assurance and Control is part of the larger function Legal. Legal works directly with the Board of Skanska AB and the Group Leadership Team (GLT). They support them and other functions with legal advice. In addition, the function works with legal areas such as Corporate Governance, Stock Exchange Rules, the Annual General Meeting, as well as Personal Data Protection, Trade Marks, other Regulatory matters and overall Legal Compliance. They also coordinate and provide support to the legal functions in the Business Units.
Corporate Governance at Skanska includes the framework for how Skanska headquarter (HQ) and the Business Units (BU) are governed and controlled. This includes decision-making and division of responsibilities between the HQ and the BUs. Assurance and Control is a new function that will be responsible for establishing the new governance framework and follow-up on its implementation at HQ and in the BUs.
Position As Senior Vice President Assurance and Control you will be responsible for implementing and establishing a new framework for group governance and control. You will be leading a team of professionals and together you will support both the GLT and HQ as well as the BUs of our different markets, globally.
Once in place, you will monitor, review and report on status and effectiveness of governance arrangements and compliance with group requirements (including e.g. management systems, internal controls and compliance with group policies, procedures and standards).
Other responsibilities:
• Perform Control Self Assessment (based on a revised and improved Code Compliance) on the implementation of the framework by the BUs
• Advise and assist BU management in improvement work
• Work with improving Enterprise Risk Management throughout the group in the short and long term
The position is based in Stockholm and you will be reporting to Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Caroline Fellenius-Omnell.
Your profile You are a problem solving and strategic leader with a diverse and inclusive mindset. Your collaboration skills are excellent and you have the ability to build trust. You have experience from managing large organizations going through change. Business acumen is high and you have a track record of delivering results with quality.
Requirements:
• Appropriate academic degree (e.g. Finance, Engineering, Legal)
• Minimum of 10-15 years of working in a senior management role
• Thorough understanding of construction and project development business
• Experience of enterprise risk management
• Experience of establishing and implementing corporate governance frameworks
• Experience from audits and/or process reviews
