Job Description

The main role of the Sales Administrator is to provide office based administration support for a team comprising several Sales Managers and Sales Orchestrators in support of renewing, up-selling, and closing of software, maintenance and services with customers; and support to customers on applicable product elements, business practices and associated contractual implications. The Sales Administrator reports to the Team leader of the Sales Back office function organized directly under the CEO.

Responsibilities 

The following are the general responsibilities in the Sales Administrator’s role:

• Maintain a business relationship with existing system managers at customers primarily by phone including keeping account information updated in Salesforce.com and SAP.

• Support each responsible Sales Director and/or Sales Orchestrator in planning activities and objectives including Software and Services.

• Liaise with customer, resolving queries within agreed timescales or escalating issues to the relevant group. Keeping the appropriate team member informed of activities within their Customer base.

• Create offers/quotations for sales.   Order trial licenses for customers

• Provide support for resellers in areas of licenses, maintenance renewals etc.,

• Company data mining and research

• Co-ordination of business forecasting and reporting on behalf of the team. 

• Ensure that required documents are made available to Sales Order Administration and Finance for sold Software and Services when registered in Q2O.

• Provide sales with an updated status report for new sales opportunities discovered inside an account and where on-site sales efforts are required.

• Support Sales in promoting and bringing customers to scheduled events i.e, Campaigns, Product Launches, CSS etc.

• Ensures that the filing systems are adequately maintained.

• Undertake one off projects as appropriate e.g. support in developing business plans, creating power point presentations.

• Be an active and supportive team member.

 
Skills, knowledge & Experience

The ideal candidate should have experience in a fast moving environment and feel comfortable working under pressure. He/she will need to get up to speed quickly on the systems and, therefore, experience of SAP and Salesforce.com would be a distinct advantage as would knowledge of the Microsoft environment including Word, Powerpoint and more important Excel. This is essentially a role for a team player and would prove rewarding for someone who is willing to become an integral part of the team. The candidate will need to be focused and tenacious in their approach to getting things done while working harmoniously with others within the Company.

• 2-3 years work experience in a customer orientated environment - preferably in a Sales supportive function.
• Excellent Administration skills
• Excellent telephone handling skills
• Proven ability to multi-task, succeed in an interrupt environment and understand key priorities.
• Self sufficient
• Fluent in English and local language
