Software Engineer – Valuation Area i Sundbyberg

The Swedish Financial Services CFT (Cross-Functional Team) today consists of seven people, three working within the valuation area and three with procurement. We are now looking for a person to join the valuation part of the team, dealing with systems that import, quality assure and distribute market data to front office systems and calculate various valuation measures and PnL figures. We work closely with our counterparties in Valuation Operations and Development on the business side.

The team is responsible for the whole system life-cycle including analyzing requirements, architecture and design, implementation, testing, documentation, maintenance and incident handling. We work on Windows and Linux platforms mainly with SQL Server, C#, Access/Excel/VBA, Python, Pearl, Matlab, and Reuters and Bloomberg APIs.

As the team is so small everyone is an important player and is expected to take initiatives and suggest improvements. We view open-mindedness, knowledge sharing, being straight-forward and having a sense of responsibility as important success factors.

• University degree in Computer Sciences or Engineering.
• You are self-going and like learning new programming languages and techniques.
• You are solution-orientated, structured and can deliver results both in terms of time and quality.
• You are analytical and have good problem solving skills.
• Experience in SQL Server administration, T-SQL programming and SSIS.
• Experience of developing software solutions in some of the languages mentioned above.
• Good command of the English language.
• Knowledge of financial instruments and theory would be considered as a merit.
