Job Summary:

Within Business Area Digital Services, Product Development Unit CC is responsible to develop IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) which are critical products in Ericsson’s Voice Over LTE and Multimedia telephony solution. Moving to LTE and 5G, the number of customers and active subscribers using IMS is growing rapidly. IMS offers a standardized way to deliver convenient IP-based consumer and enterprise services to fixed, mobile and cable community - enabled by one common core and control. The position is located at Ericsson Headquarter in Kista, while the PDU is a true global organization with operations in Canada, Sweden, Finland, Hungary, India and China. We have a lean and agile working environment where you are able to influence and make a difference. We work in cross-functional teams where everyone is flexible to perform several tasks. PDU CC has consolidated development environment & services in one unit called Development Services (DS).

DS needs to reinforce with an IMS solution lab/TCM engineer

We are looking for a true hands-on person who has a genuine interest plus a good understanding in all aspects of IP connectivity (routing, switchers, ...) and able to act as TCM with installation and configuration of IMS nodes in our test channel lab environment.

A great part of this role also involves being a support instance towards all our stakeholders within our PDU. Since you will work closely in a well-functioning team, it is crucial that you are a genuine team player, easy to work with, share and communicate with, have a positive attitude and strong drive.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop IP connectivity for IMS Network labs consisting of a number of physical and virtual labs.
  • Interface towards Engineering Services (ES)  on behalf of all IMS Network lab users regarding connectivity towards other labs within Ericsson
  • Develop and maintain documentation regarding IP connectivity, HW placement and cabling for all IMS Network labs.
  • Support towards lab users for all possible questions
  • Proactive supervision of the lab network

 

Key Qualifications:

  • You have several years’ experience in IP connectivity
  • Broad competence within IP hardware (routers, switchers)
  • Experience of IMS is a plus
  • Ground knowledge of IMS platforms, TSP, IS, Cloud computing, VMware and Redhat infrastructure
  • Broad Linux knowledge
  • You are extremely service minded and have a pragmatic and solution-oriented way of working.
  • You have proven communication and team skills.
  • Innovating, adapting and responding to change
  • Delivering results and meeting customer expectations
  • Planning and Organizing
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
