Our position at the crossroads of payments, consumer financing, ecommerce and banking means we are uniquely positioned to do this. There is no label for what we do.

We currently serve 60 million consumers, work together with 130,000 merchants and process more than a million payment transactions a day. We are currently looking for a talented UX researcher in Stockholm to make customer-centric design for our merchants come true and boost our products and touchpoints in the merchant acquisition domain.

Your opportunity

User Experience Researchers work to drive product development and UX design based on user feedback. As part of the domain in Klarna focusing on finding, attracting and winning small-medium-enterprises in all of our core markets, you will have the unique opportunity to raise awareness on merchant needs in Klarna and fully integrate UX research in the development process of all our merchant touchpoints, with a focus on
What you will do
    • Proactively drive user centric design in any digital touchpoints we build for our merchants in all markets.
    • Focus on US Build up research infrastructure for the domain.
    • Organize user research with merchants in different markets to validate and get insights on new concepts and ideas.
    • Be the go-to person for the domain for questions and advice on research, qualitative and quantitative methods, customer understanding, and feedback loops. 
    • Conduct, analyse, document, and act upon qualitative and quantitative research together with product managers, and designers.
    • Play an active role in UX design. 
    • Deepen the merchant types we work with to foster empathy, create real customer understanding, and guide development
    • Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and oral presentations.
Who you are:
    • You are passionate about understanding your customer and you will implement that understanding into our products and services.
    • Self driven with effective organisational, interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skills.
    • A degree in either Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Anthropology, Data Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in an applied research setting.
    • Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.
    • We see it as a plus if you have experience in quantitative data analysis, speak Swedish, or bring in E-commerce and financial experience.
