Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Global Industrial Development (TE) is responsible for strengthening and developing of Scania’s joint expertise in engineering as well as Industrial IT (IT systems and automation solutions) within Production and Logistics (P&L).

Industrial IT (TEI) is responsible for the management of the IT and automation portfolio within P&L. The portfolio consists of traditional IT-systems, Digital Factory tools, shop floor IT and automation solutions. Our mission is to manage and develop strategies and architecture for these solutions aligned to the P&L global business strategies. The Smart Factory Lab is a part of the Industrial IT team (TEI) and there is a need for extension within the research and development.

Job description
Your main task will be to develop and demonstrate our Smart Factory Lab together with the team. You will be responsible for one or more technology areas and to connect the production preparation, production, logistic and maintenance for these areas.
As an expert, within your area you should also be able to train new users in Scania in this new and smart area.

Your profile
We believe that you have an industrial background with focus on the usage of IT system within the industrial IT areas .We require a Master  of Science in Engineering. As a person you are structured, organized and have extensive communication skills. Furthermore  you are open-minded and receptive to new influences, new techniques and ideas. In the Smart Factory Lab at Scania we create our next production and factory generation for the next 10 to 20 years and it´s important that you like to develop, implement, evaluate and demonstrate new technologies. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written. Furthermore, you have programming skills in e.g. C/C++, node js. . Advantage if you have an extensive network within in industrial IT and previous experience of working within truck and bus industry..
