DHL Express is looking for a Key Account Manager in the Malmö area

DHL Express is the world's leading provider of international express services and we are now looking for a razor sharp and energized winner who takes pride in creating sustainable partnerships and closing deals.

We work out of top modern facilities, both our offices and our operations, and we see this role to primarily be based in Malmö.

The sales organization is responsible for all new sales at DHL Express with an overall responsibility for all customers. We are looking for someone who quickly gets up to speed and wants to actively contribute to achieving our company's ambitious goals. It is vital to reach very good sales results quickly and efficiently to ensure the goals of revenue growth, new sales and transaction frequency are met.

    Primary responsibilities are to: 

  • Independently acquire new customers to DHL Express

  • Achieve revenue and profitability targets

  • Plan and execute the work to be in line with company objectives and KPI targets within KAM

  • Constructively represent our customers in internal discussions aiming to develop both DHL and the customer

  • Project lead own customer cases independently and successfully with support from internal functions while actively working with international functions where appropriate

  • Liaise with KAMs and Global Executives from other DHL Countries

As Key Account Manager you will report to the Regional Sales Manager.

    Required qualifications: 

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in selling services combined with experience of high level business negotiations

  • Solid knowledge and experience in the logistics industry where good knowledge of the express industry in Sweden particularly is an advantage

  • Strong drive to independently set goals, plan sales activities and the ability to achieve these goals

  • Very good ability to collaborate both internally and within the customer's business to ensure that DHL Express’ established guidelines are followed and that we always keep our promises to the customer

  • Assertive communicator with strong organizational and planning skills

  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability when objectives, approaches and areas of focus may quickly change depending on the current situation

  • Very good ability to set clear expectations during customer negotiations in order to achieve a win-win situation for both parties

  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing is essential. DHL's corporate language is English

  • B license

  • Emphasis is placed on personal qualities
