Software Engineer i Sundbyberg

The value stream FICC is responsible for development and maintenance of products and services related to FI (Fixed Income), FX (Foreign Exchange) and Credits. The main service in our area, for both front office and back office, is Calypso. It is the engine of our business and it is crucial not only for FICC, but also for other parts of the bank.

In the FICC value stream we are working according to agile principles. We are working in ten weeks planning cycles and in two weeks sprint releases. The agile product owner owns the backlog and decides on what to do, and the Scrum master is facilitating the team in how to do it.

As a Software Engineer you are working together with your team while delivering the agreed features. The main objective for this team is to build and improve a stable Calypso environment.

You have a great interest and technical understanding of how hardware platforms, operating system and software integrate and function with each other. Specifically VMware, Linux and customized software for optimal performance of memory, disk and CPU.

Apart from experience from Linux environments, you possess knowledge in Java, scripting, SQL and you have general knowledge in platforms. You are familiar with tools such as GIT, Jira and Jenkins. Experience from Calypso is a big plus.

For you keeping critical services stable is of outmost importance. You understand the need for increased efficiency and you strive for automation. You stay calm in stressed situations.

As a person you are a team player who enjoys sharing your knowledge and learning from your colleagues. You are analytical, creative and motivated by learning and taking on new responsibilities.

The job also requires communication skills in Swedish and English language, spoken and written and a relevant education in IT.

I have worked at Swedbank for a number of years in various positions in different areas, mainly in IT; as Project manager, Service manager, Daily operations manager and Domain manager. Therefore I have deep knowledge in the bank's IT operations.
