Om tjänsten
About ParksterAt Parkster, we want to be the best at what we do. We build smart, user-friendly software, strive for top-tier customer service, and strive to be a fantastic employer. We have offices in Lund and Munich, and our services are live in around 1,400 locations across Sweden, Germany, and Austria, used by hundreds of thousands of people every day.
This doesn't stop us from chasing ambitious growth targets, quite the opposite. Together with municipalities, property owners, and private partners, we create parking solutions that are seamless today and sustainable for tomorrow.
Our engineering team currently counts just over 20 people. Many of us have years of experience, but nobody has lost the drive to solve tough problems and learn new things together.
About the Role
We have just launched a brand-new team dedicated entirely to our product integrations. These are the connections we build or configure alongside our customers and partners. Some of the most common examples are automatic license plate recognition (ANPR) cameras, EV charging, and data/statistics collection.
Initially, the team's hands-on focus will be building the integrations needed right now. Long-term, the goal is to empower others to quickly and easily configure standard integrations on their own, without needing to involve developers.
The same applies to monitoring the health of our existing integrations. To start with, you will dive in to investigate and resolve ongoing issues. We have already started visualizing this data and will set up smart alerting so that the right information reaches the right person at the right time. It's going to be an exciting journey!
We are looking for a Junior Fullstack Developer with a solid technical foundation, high drive, and a good commercial mindset to join this team.
We are based out of our Lund office and truly value the sense of community at our workplace. While you have the flexibility to work from home a day or two a week, we hope you appreciate face-to-face collaboration and casual chats by the coffee machine just as much as we do!
Who Are You?
To thrive in this role, we believe you are someone who:
- Has a solid technical foundation. Our systems are large and complex. To get up to speed, you need a broad technical baseline and a genuine desire to understand how things work under the hood. An appropriate foundation is either a masters in a related field, and/or at least two years of working experience as a developer.
- Enjoys working with both people and machines. Integrations always involve another party, so it matters that you enjoy meeting potential customers and partners, both in person and online, and that you don't mind picking up the phone to get an answer or push an implementation forward.
- Focuses on business value and user impact. We love building top-class technical solutions, but we always prioritize what creates the most value. The ability to evaluate, prioritize, and adjust your focus is crucial.
- Is always curious to learn. You happily share your knowledge and actively seek feedback from your peers to keep growing.
- You speak German and English (Swedish is a plus too!). A major part of our new integrations will be set up with partners in Germany and Austria, so you need to be able to effortlessly participate in and drive meetings with German speakers. Additionally, while our engineering language is English, our Lund office breathes Swedish, so if you can handle the daily fika chat or are eager to learn, you'll fit right in!
What We Work With
We don't hold any prestige when it comes to specific programming languages, we simply choose the best tool for the job. Today, our daily life looks roughly like this:
- Backend: Java and Kotlin with Spring Boot.
- Frontend: TypeScript, React, and Next.js (we also have Web Components and some legacy JSP).
- Platform/Infrastructure: Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Databases: BigQuery, MongoDB, and MySQL, among others.
If you already know this stack, or if you have the drive and sharpness to pick it up quickly, you'll love it here.
What We Offer
We are a team driven by building software that makes a real difference. Today, we are over a hundred colleagues across our offices in Sweden and Germany, enjoying close collaboration and a great community across borders and departments.
As an international growth company, we offer a fast-paced environment with plenty of room to grow. Here, you become part of a forward-thinking organization with short decision-making paths and a flat, ego-free culture.
Parkster offers great benefits, including an occupational pension, health insurance, a wellness allowance (friskvårdsbidrag), and above all, a workplace where we have serious fun at work.
Sounds like a match?
We recruit continuously and look forward to hearing from you. Send us your CV and a cover letter telling us a bit about what drives you.
Please note: Since it's summertime, our response times might be a bit slower than usual over the holidays. We'll be back in full force starting August 10th, and we appreciate your patience in the meantime!
