You will become a part of Process Industries Operation in Umeå, which is part of the Industrial Automation division. We are a unit within ABB that sells and delivers systems and services that increase operational reliability and revenue in our customers' production facilities. We do this by delivering solutions for power supply, control, drive, protection, automation and process integration into mining and mineral extraction industries. Knowledge of our customers' industry and our comprehensive product range has given us significant market shares. Mining in Sweden has global responsibility for underground mines and is responsible for both developing new solutions as well as for coordinating and implementing delivery projects. ABB continues to invest in the mining industry, focusing on contributing to the vision of the mining of the future.

As a Manager at ABB and for this role, you will be given the opportunity to lead a team of senior engineers in Umeå and Västerås who work with delivery projects with the latest solutions and products. As we are ABB's Main Technology Center for Underground Mining Automation, you will also be responsible for managing development projects in close collaboration with ABB's research center or with subcontractors/partners. You will be stationed in Umeå and mostly work in the region. We have a global responsibility that will give you the opportunity to meet customers and ABB elsewhere around the world. In addition, you will be part of different networks within the company and the process industry at large. Here you will have a social everyday life with many different contacts in a very successful and developing business on the move.

Those who apply should have college or university education, or secondary education, preferably with a focus on engineering. You should also have experience in R&D or industrial projects such as control systems, automation, power and drive systems. Since you will work in a global company, it is important that you are excellent in english, both speaking and written. We are looking for a leader who can work with our senior engineers and help them grow. Your passion and drive is in business and technology. You have the ability to familiarize yourself with the employees and the customer's situation and are good at communication.
