Do you want to be a key player in taking Vattenfall forward in the emerging energy landscape?

New concepts within the electric power system are developing today and the time schedule from sketches to real physical pilot installations are shorter than ever.

Vattenfall is now looking for a Project Manager with a background in Power Technology.

You will play an important role since Business Areas will focus on implementation of large project and the need to support them will increase. The R&D department moves quickly from sketches to large implementations as soon as results are possible to implement.

Vattenfall R&D sees this competence as strategically very important; there is a long-term need of implementing new concepts such as Micro Grids, the Hybrit project (together with SSAB and LKAB), hydrogen, and new house solutions combining heat and electricity and its flexibility.

Your responsibilities
Responsibilities include working in large R&D projects and development as well as offering support to the business. You will be involved in large projects of strategic importance and business case analysis for new solutions including flexibility, electrical system service, Micro Grids, and combinations of heat and electrical systems.

Your qualifications and personal skills
Necessary qualifications are:
- knowledge about project management as well as energy and power systems.
- At least five years’ experience as a Project Manager within Power Technology
- As a project leader you are communicative and have a passion to deliver.
- You hold a university degree in M.Sc. Electrical Engineering, Physics; Power Technology or similar.
- Experience from the energy industries is mandatory.
- Fluency in English is mandatory and a good command of Swedish is desirable.

You are analytical, committed and self-driven with good communication and interpersonal skills. You are able to develop ideas into concrete and successful projects. A good understanding of commercial aspects and an ability to establish and maintain relationships and networks is important, since the position involves extensive interaction both internally and with external partners and suppliers. We believe that a passion for new technology is essential for this role.
