Are you at the beginning of your legal career, or ready to take the next step, within commercial law? We are now looking for a Junior Associate to join our Commercial practice group, with a focus on Foreign Direct Investment/Regulatory and general commercial

At Baker McKenzie, you will have the opportunity to grow in a dynamic setting where business law meets global perspectives. As a Junior Associate, you will work closely with clients and colleagues on complex, cross-border matters within our Commercial team, which is a Nordic leader in Trade Compliance. Your work will include providing high-quality advice on commercial and regulatory matters, such as sanctions, export controls, foreign investment screening, and related compliance matters. You will support clients in navigating evolving legal and regulatory frameworks, assessing regulatory risks in transactions and investments, and interacting with authorities in connection with filing and review processes. You will also be involved in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements and advising on regulatory aspects of international business operations.

Many assignments are international, giving you the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across our global network daily. You will work closely with clients from an early stage, take on significant responsibility, and contribute to complex, cross-border matters. Who are we looking for?

We are seeking candidates who have recently completed, or are about to complete, a Swedish Master of Law (LL.M.), or to have completed the necessary supplementary studies to obtain such a degree in Sweden, with strong academic results.

Experience in international and/or cross-border work is considered an advantage, as is prior academic specialization in commercial law.
