Robotics develops, manufactures and markets robots and associated control systems, software, arc welding products, tracks and motor packages. The automotive industry and to an increasing extent general industry, such as the food industry, are automating their production with our robots. Over 90% of our production goes to export, and our robots and robotics are sold via local ABB companies and via independent systems integrators and OEM companies – companies we call our Partners.

In this truly global position, you will act as Global Category Manager for Drive Train – Gears. This means to develop, plan and implement category strategies focused on optimizing costs, quality, delivery and reliability of suppliers within your category. You will be responsible for the negotiation agreements with main suppliers, to recommend frame agreements to management and contribute in setting and implementing budgets and targets within the framework. In addition, you will ensure execution in accordance with Company, SCM and Supply Base Management instructions and procedures.

On a personal level, you have a strategic mindset and a structured approach. Your genuine interest in driving complex initiatives in a matrix organization, together with good stakeholder management will make you achieve commitment as well as results. You also have a broad business understanding, and a innovative mindset.

We believe that you have a Master’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience gained from a working career. Hands on experience in similar roles as well as excellent English skills will make you successful in this position.
