H&M Sweden Talent Program
H&M Sweden is excited to again launch a talent program for top talents who want to get an exciting start in their careers, running one year from September 2019 and is based in Stockholm.
H&M is a leading company within the global fashion industry, with more than 4,000 stores in 71 markets and with a strong online presence. H&M Sweden has 148 stores and a strong online platform and is the clear market leader within fashion.
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about fashion retail and who want to impact the future of retail and influence our ways of working, and stay ahead of the game.
The program is focusing on three very exciting key roles within Sales and Expansion at H&M Sweden. Each successful candidate will start off the year by spending two exciting months at the Head Office in Stockholm. These two months are filled with seminars with H&M leaders, store training and a broad introduction to H&M as a company as well as in-depth training within the involved functions. These weeks are spent together with our global trainee programs.
After the initial training, each candidate will get appointed one position throughout the full year but will run projects linked to another role within the organization.
After the first year, the candidate will either remain and grow in the role or take on another exciting role within H&M.
The Three Roles:
As a Merchandise Manager you are the business expert for a concept and responsible for driving profitable net growth including commercial planning, pricing and reduction strategy, allocation and stock optimization. You work with many other teams including Visual, Marketing, PR, DC, Regions and Stores to maximize selling and profitability for your concept. You report to the Head of Merchandising.
As an Area controller you work at one of our five regions and have almost limitless opportunities to affect the business and results in terms of selling and profitability in the region. You will work with target setting, business planning and analysis, allocation, store operations and cost control with the goal to drive profitable growth for your stores in the region. You report to the Country Controller.
As an expansion controller, you support and enable the expansion strategy for growth of your market, by optimizing and following-up the existing portfolio through new stores, rebuilds and renegotiation of existing stores. The work has a multi-brand focus, which means that you will be working for H&M as well as the other brands of the H&M group. You report to the Expansion Manager.

Preferred background is to have a master’s degree in Business or Engineering. It is also a merit to have international experience and/or working experience within retail.
Please note, this talent program is in addition to the existing three global Trainee programs: Business Trainee, International Trainee Program and IT Trainee Program.
