Food Quality Specialist for HM, It’s Pleat cafés i Stockholm

We are looking for a Quality specialist for H&M Group’s new café concept, It’s Pleat. Are you up for the challenge?

It’s Pleat is a new café concept developed by the H&M Group with an inviting and inspiring atmosphere. The concept offers healthy-ish meals and sweet treats at great value for money.

As a quality specialist for It’s Pleat you will join our team at the head office in Stockholm where we work together as one team. We move fast, are flexible and from day one we trust our colleagues with a lot of responsibility as we believe in our people. This is a junior role where you will work closely together with our quality manager making sure that products meet legal compliance, food safety and quality. Perhaps you have a couple of years’ experience within this field or are you a graduate looking to enter a career in the food business – then please read on.

Your main areas of responsibility would include;

• Keeping up to date in food safety, regulatory updates and quality policy i.e. monitor food legislation, coordinate lab tests and spot checks to assure we are compliant.
• Investigating and acting on quality issues. Participating in internal and external food audits.
• You would work with our suppliers and coordinate supplier evaluations and ensure that relevant certificates are valid, approved and suitable for food ingredients and packaging materials.
• You would work with our cafes and put together manuals for food products, proofread menus and compile correct information when we change menus.
• Ensuring product labels are compliant on site and coach and train café managers regarding test results, updates in food legislations and upcoming changes related to products/production/food safety.

Your experience:

You hold a degree in a food related major such as agronomy, nutrition or food science and preferably some experience in food safety and quality assurance within a food manufacturing environment.

• You should have a strong interest in food and quality without compromising on food safety.
• You are a problem solver, like attention to detail and hold the ability to analyze things.
• As a person we see that you will bring a positive can-do attitude to everything you do and have excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English.
