Avionics Systems develops and manufactures qualified electronics, mechanics and software for demanding applications in aircraft and helicopters. Most of our projects are carried out in an international environment and we supply products to some the world’s largest aircraft manufacturers.
Your roleAs Product Manager Avionics you will work within the Strategy and Portfolio team, reporting to Head of Strategy and Portfolio (S&P). Besides responsibility for overall Business Strategy and Portfolio Management, the S&P-team also have responsibility for Innovation Management.
Your main task will be to define market driven Avionics product offers within our current and future product segments. Your focus area will be solutions aimed at reducing pilot workload and increased pilot situational awareness, such as Enhanced Flight Vision Systems, Head-up Displays, Synthetic Vision Systems, Aeronautical Databases and Sensors.
You will work close to our Business Development Marketing and Sales function in preparing market value based pricing strategies, high-level technical solutions as well as performing technical customer marketing. You will also work close to our Avionics development function with product planning and product strategies in order to optimize our customer offer.
We are looking for an experienced person with a wide avionics product and market domain knowledge and technical understanding of avionics solutions, preferably from Civil Aviation. Meriting if you have experience from working with pilot aiding avionics at another established Avionics supplier or Aircraft OEM. You are interested in transferring your knowledge about avionics market need and customer value into well-positioned product offerings. You like to work in the interface between market and product development function. As a Product Manager Avionics Solutions you will demonstrate good communicative skills combined with business understanding in order to create commitment and energy.
Qualifications:
• Appropriate professional or postgraduate qualification in a business oriented or technical discipline
• Experience of working with defining product offers, preferably within avionics domain
• Strong business understanding and customer focus, preferably within avionics domain
• Understanding and ability to work in an international environment close to the customer
• Skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions
• Ability and interest in leading, developing and challenging the organization
• Strong drive, perseverance and ability to generate energy
We expect you to be fluent in both written and spoken English. Knowledge of Swedish would be an advantage.
