The SBM Manager is responsible for driving Red Bull's marketing strategies through management of the Student Brand Managers (SBMs) and the SBM program in Sweden. The object of the program is to drive trial, increase brand awareness and foster a positive product and brand perception among students. The job includes participation in creating marketing and sales innovations encompassing local needs and specificities that complement the national strategy, impacting local consumers and thus the successful development of the business. Recruit, train and manage a team of 20 university SBMs to make Red Bull an integral and relevant part of a student's life.
Develop and implement an innovative program to maintain a credible brand image, build awareness and win students as Red Bull consumers.
Communicate clear expectations and guidelines for SBMs to effectively plan and deliver on infusing Red Bull in to student lifestyle during key moments, using a “from students for students” approach.
Collaborate with the marketing and sales team, combining synergies in order to capitalize on related opportunities as well as develop and activate national and international best practice events and projects to bring properties to life on campus.
Understand and collaborate with the sales team to coach and drive the SBM sales support strategy to increase Red Bull’s availability and visibility on and around campus
Regularly assess and analyze the program, identifying opportunities to improve the impact in student communities with a special eye on the digital and social media footprint of the brand.
Observing and collect current student and market trends to develop the annual business plan for SBMs, complementing the country-specific issues and opportunities and resulting marketing priorities.
Lead the creative process within the SBM community to ensure a constant flow of new ideas to build loyalty within the collegiate audience.
Share and gain project learnings and success stories in order to drive the development of the program in the right direction.
Establish and manage key student relationships that add value to the SBM program and enhance Red Bull’s brand image amongst students.
Identify and nurture key SBM talent for the potential space-to-shine opportunity.
Drive consumer trial through activities in line with brand values, international guidelines and expectations to win consumers.
Proven ability to manage, coach, and mentor a team
Experience in and thorough understanding of the student community and university landscape
Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills, including presenting and training abilities
Strong organizational, planning and project management competencies
An entrepreneurial ‘can-do’ attitude facilitated by continuous learning
Creative yet logical mind with prior successes in driving the creative process
