Force Measurement is a product group within ABB's Industrial Automation division that offers reliable equipment for measuring and control in metal, paper and marine applications. Our products are used in a large variety of different industries and processes where they are measuring mechanical and geometric variables with the aim to improve productivity, control and quality for our worldwide customers.

As a mechanical engineer, you will be working closely with our customers in large steel & paper industries, who see us more as a collaboration partner than a supplier. The ambition to deliver high level solutions has made us always stayed in front of our competitors and taking lead by developing state of the art products for our market.

Your main tasks will be within mechanical design for customized solutions to our end customers by supporting our sales team, workshop and suppliers with your knowledge and quality driven personality. The tasks include dimensioning of different mechanical parameters, creating manufacturing and installation drawings and supporting our installed base with your expertise. Our mechanical team consists of 8 quality driven and ambitious engineers who will help you in your new roll.

To be suitable for this role you preferably have a univercity degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience from that field. The ability to design for assembly/manufacturing and having the eye for details while seeing the big picture is required. It is very meritorious if you have experience from working with rolling mill or process industry solutions as a mechanical engineer. In this role it is also meritorious if you have the knowledge of different manufacturing techniques as for e.g. grinding, welding or other material related competence.

On a personal level you are a self-going and a reliable team player with a result oriented working style as well as strong communicative and collaborative skills. It is also important that you have the ability to take initiative and lead improvements, are structured and able to work proactively to achieve set goals. You have a positive attitude and ability to see opportunities and solutions instead of obstacles.

Proficiency in both English and Swedish is a must, written and spoken alike.
