H&M New Business is looking for a Web Analyst


Curious about H&M and up for a challenge? Do you want to be part of developing the customer experience for multiple brands with different customers and needs? Come and join us as Web Analyst within our Customer and Business Intelligence team!


The New Business Group incorporates COS, Monki, Weekday, & Other Stories, H&M Home, ARKET and Afound. We are looking for a web analyst to our team Customer and Business Intelligence working in different areas of customer analytics, guiding and supporting the brands within the New Business Group.

You will work in a fast-paced environment with all our brands to support them with their web analytics needs. While our brands are responsible for their operational analysis, the central New Business team is responsible for having the strategic overview to make sure that we have the correct tracking in place as well as placing new demands and handling incidents with the help of IT.

We believe that by gathering different analytics areas in one team, we can create analyses with the highest business value. You will be responsible for the web analytics part and work closely with the other functions within New Business as well as the Marketing and Online Sales teams at each brand.

Your outstanding analytical skills, excellent interpersonal abilities and passion for digital development is a key for this role. Your knowledge of the technical part of web/digital analytics will also be important for success, and it’s beneficial if you have previous experience with web analytics within retail companies.


Responsibilities

The job of a web analyst comes with lots of responsibility – and lots of fun. Your to-do list includes:

  • Transform business questions into analysis that yields actionable insights for improving customer experience, optimizing marketing efforts and guiding business development.
  • Integrate data from different sources to gain deep knowledge of the customer experience to identify opportunities and troubleshoot issues.
  • Support strategic business initiatives with data-driven insights.
  • Work closely with the tag management teams to ensure data quality.
  • Place and prioritize new web analytic demands and incidents with IT.
  • Create reporting that is common for all brands so that we can compare user behavior on the different brands sites.
  • Support hypothesis testing strategies and A/B or multi-variant testing designs.
  • Working with our visual analytics tool together with the brands to learn more about where we can improve our sites to support the user behavior.
  • Support the web analysts on the different brands and share best practice, to make sure each brand gets the most out of the web analytics setup.
  • Contribute in projects and respond to ad-hoc requests.
  • Stay current on trends and best practices in digital analytics and e-commerce.


Desired Skills and Experience

Just like everyone at H&M, we believe you are sales minded, solution oriented, social, open, communicative and ambitious team player full of drive and optimism. Your qualities should also include experience along the line of:

  • At least 3 years of higher education
  • At least 3 years of experience in a digital analytics role
  • Knowledge of retail and e-commerce
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and media attribution
  • Experience from one or multiple web analysis tools (we use Google Analytics)
  • Experience from working with setup of web analytics
  • Previous experience with Visual Analytics (Hotjar, Clicktale etc)
  • Previous experience with A/B Testing tools (Optimize, Optimizely etc)
  • Previous experience with Google Data Studio
  • Previous experience with tag assistant tools (such as ObservePoint)
  • Experience in tag management software a plus
  • Strategic and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate complex data through effective data visualizations and dashboarding
  • Preferably international experience
